Job Description
As a Manager of Legal Affairs, you will play a crucial role in upholding ethical standards and ensuring compliance within the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
Triage and Investigation: Effectively triage reports of ethical and compliance concerns, review reports, designate issue types, refer cases to appropriate internal investigators, and assist in documenting case resolution.
Confidentiality: Professionally and discreetly handle highly confidential and sensitive information, maintaining the utmost integrity and professionalism.
Ethics Hotline Enhancement: Contribute to enhancing the Amex Ethics Hotline and the AEO, ensuring that they are effective channels for reporting concerns and fostering a culture of ethics and compliance.
Policy and Procedure Drafting: Assist in drafting policies and procedures, ensuring they align with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Reporting and Communication: Draft reporting content and cadence, ensuring clear and concise communication of key messages to business and functional executives.
Vendor Relationship Management: Assist in managing a 3rd party vendor relationship, ensuring their services meet the organization's needs.
Awareness and Marketing: Communicate and market the Amex Ethics Hotline and the AEO to promote awareness and understanding of their roles within the organization.
Conflicts of Interest: Assess conflicts of interest disclosures and ensure appropriate actions are taken to mitigate any potential risks.
Qualifications and Skills Required
