Types of PSU Recruitment through CLAT

PSUs in India can be classified into three categories: Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs), and Public Sector Banks (PSBs). CPSEs have different statuses based on their annual turnover and net worth. These statuses are explained below:

1. Maharatna

Companies that have been given the Maharatna status have an average annual turnover of Rs 20,000 crore in the last three years, with an average annual net worth or combined value of assets of Rs 10,000 crore.

2. Navratna

CPSEs with a Schedule 'A' and a Miniratna Category 1 status are eligible to be considered for the Navratna status. This status grants the PSU the power to invest up to Rs 1,000 crore without government approval.

3. Miniratna

CPSEs that have consistently made profits in the last three years and have a positive net worth are eligible to be considered for the grant of Miniratna status.

Selection Process of PSU Recruitment through CLAT

The selection process for PSU recruitment through CLAT involves three stages:

  1. Shortlisting of Students: PSUs shortlist candidates based on their merit list in the CLAT 2024 Exam.

  3. Interview: The interview process may be conducted online or offline and will be conducted by different PSUs. The mode of conduct will be notified to the candidates at least one week before the interview.
